Empowering a government authority to move forward

Challenge

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is a government organization that promotes foreign investments and develops tourism destinations in the emirate of Sharjah. With an ever-growing portfolio and expanding geographic reach, it needed to revolutionize its digital presence to match its rapid growth.

MBLM worked closely with Shurooq’s development and investment teams to reconceptualize the corporate website and transform it into a comprehensive digital tool. The design of the user experience identified and catered to a prioritized list of target audiences and created distinct pathways to provide the desired information in an intuitive and concise manner. In addition to dictating the framework of the site, MBLM designed and created all the required content.

Results

Since the launch of Shurooq’s new corporate website, traffic has increased twofold. The site saw approximately 17,000 individual visitors, 70% of whom were new, in the first 6 months.

The new website enabled Shurooq to communicate its value proposition to potential investors and has become an indispensable tool in promoting Sharjah as an investment and tourism destination.
