As Business Development Director, you have your hand on the pulse of the entire brand industry and how it operates. You are passionate about branding, what you do and you are enthusiastic, energetic and relentless. We are seeking an individual who has experience with both opening and closing new business opportunities; one who can make introductions, has existing relationships, can establish a relationship, write proposals, and work with our entire team to successfully win formal pitches and cold calls. As a small and growing firm, we are also seeking a talented individual who can wear multiple hats: support/promote internal marketing efforts, expanding existing business and working on new business initiatives, all with a smile. Candidates should possess strong business acumen, bringing relevant industry knowledge and a proven ability to be responsible for efficient management of the business development process, including lead generation and qualification as well as comprehensive collection of prospect requirements, collaborative development of solutions and effective presentation of solutions in the form of written proposals.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Target core new business prospects who are seeking marketing services (Help define target industries and companies for business development initiatives)
  • Develop relationships with search firms
  • Review industry journals/magazines/websites and follow up on any potential leads or prospects mentioned
  • Create new business capabilities presentations – From introductory letters to customer presentations… working with Partner oversight
  • Serve as point of contact for incoming new business calls, website inquiries and global requests
  • Track New Business activities (Online, reports)
  • Manage the overall client relationship from the initial engagement through contract negotiations
  • Participate in new business presentations
  • RFI Responses– work with team to respond to RFI requests in a timely manner
  • MBLM Marketing  – work with Partners to identify tools/materials that are needed to help increase interest, awareness and client demand for our services. This includes marketing materials, e-mail announcements, articles, social media campaign, leave behinds, etc.
  • Networking – attend industry trade, conference and networking events to network with key contacts responsible for branding and package design. Follow-up with the contacts to secure meetings
  • Speaking – Speak at industry relevant events about relevant branding, design and trends topics
  • Maintain weekly status reports

  • Minimum of 5 years in business development/sales in branding, advertising/marketing
