Creating a compelling story

Challenge

Shurooq had conducted extensive research with Deloitte to identify the most viable investment opportunities and the attractiveness of Sharjah as an investment destination. The company needed to translate the recommendations, data, statistics and value propositions into a compelling set of materials for use with delegations, road shows and exhibitions. MBLM was asked to position Shurooq as an authority on the business/economy of Sharjah, an interface for institutional investors from around the world to explore business and investment opportunities, and a vital source/aggregator of information.

In the short time frame, MBLM conducted a proprietary custom photo and video shoot of key Sharjah developments to create a unique and distinctive media library. We interviewed government agencies and procured unpublished economic data; created infographics and content that presented Sharjah as an investment destination; and produced a high-end investor presentation booklet that was provided as a leave- behind to VIP investors. To help the Shurooq team articulate the message in a meaningful and differentiated way, we developed a complementary keynote presentation along with speaker notes and trained the presenters.

Results

The materials elevated perceptions of Shurooq as a source for information/data regarding investment opportunities within Sharjah. They also led to an increased number of inquiries and invitations.
