MBLM’s Toronto office is looking for a full-time WordPress web/software developer who can contribute to the creation and implementation of compelling digital experiences.
The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, can work quickly without losing sight of quality and must be able to collaborate effectively with designers and internal teams from various disciplines. We are a fast-paced, hard-working group that needs someone who doesn’t shy away from complex assignments, who is passionate about realizing ideas and who looks to make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes
- Experience in using and developing with the following WordPress plugins; ACF PRO, Yoast SEO, CF7
- Build and modify website and email templates from design documents
- Conduct ongoing research of web-based development best practices and present findings to the rest of the team
- Solve cross-browser and cross-device compatibility problems and propose solutions that align with modern programming practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related
- 2+ years of related work experience
Skills & Competencies
- WordPress theme and plugin development
- Proficiency in front-end web technologies (HTML/JavaScript/CSS)
- Proficiency in Bootstrap UI development
- Programming and debug experience in PHP
- Experience working with MySQL
- Strong knowledge of O-O programming principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage prioritized tasks while meeting deadlines
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills
